REGIONAL
ACCOUNT MANAGER
National manufacturer of high quality plastic bags and trashcan liners
has an immediate opportunity for a dynamic, high-energy, and customer
service oriented Regional Account Manager.
We
are looking for someone to assume responsibility for managing (and growing)
a multi-million dollar market of plastic bags for newspaper home delivery.
For 38 years, we have been a leading manufacturer of plastic newspaper
bags, trashcan liners, and other flexible packaging.
Job
Description and Compensation:
Make sales calls to managers of the Circulation, Purchasing, and Advertising
departments at newspaper properties in an established territory. The individual
will be responsible for managing a large existing market of long-term
customers, as well as, increasing market share, identifying new market
opportunities, and building value added.
Beginning
compensation is commensurate with experience and abilities, and will transition
into a salary/commission package based on performance and territory margins.
Requirements:
The candidate must have exceptional values and integrity.
Preference will be given to a candidate who:
- Has a strong background in direct sales; and has a career path showing
a dedication to becoming a professional in sales / marketing.
- Has 3-5 years’ direct business-to-business sales experience,
preferably in a manufacturing field.
- Has a record of proven and consistent accomplishments in long term,
value added sales and major account development.
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit, shows creativity, and demonstrates
excellent follow-up and great verbal & written communication skills.
- Has good basic business math and computer skills.
