Plastics Bags Overview
Why risk losing your customers by using an inferior bag? GP Plastics has been leading the news bag industry in quality since 1968. We have built our reputation of high quality by continually using superior materials and pursuing better ways to manufacture the bags. By introducing LLDPE in the early 80’s, we pushed the industry into a new era that uses stronger materials and less plastic. We then repeated this in the early 90’s with hexene based materials, then again with super hexenes. In 2004, we continued our long tradition of advancing the news bag industry by introducing our proprietary SPT product. Our SPT product offers the following benefits:

1. The strongest material on the market. Since its "roll out" 100% of all field tests have validated that using SPT reduces wet paper complaints by 50-75%.

2. The most environmentally friendly product available in volume. Our bags are completely recyclable. In the event the customer does not recycle, our bags are made with up to 30% less plastic. This reduces the amount of plastic in the environment and landfills.

3. By far the best value for your money. As a result of offering the best performance at a competitive price, in combination with being more “green” than our competitors, we have literally made purchasing from GP a no-brainer.

We also offer printed bags, bundle bags, bags on headers or wickets, single-wall or twin-wall bags, door-knob holes as well as custom suffocation warnings with your newspaper’s name.
